Brilliance Villa: A Luxurious and Open Residential House

HSU FAN YU Creates a Distinctive Personalized Space

The Brilliance Villa, designed by HSU FAN YU, is a stunning residential house that combines aesthetics with functionality. With its simple linear changes and careful color matching, this design creates distinctive and personalized spaces throughout the private areas of the house.

One of the standout features of the Brilliance Villa is its spaciousness and open flow. The main axis of the design is a stable grey tone, which is complemented by various different materials and linear elements. This not only enhances the visual appeal of the house but also creates a sense of openness and fluidity in the space.

The design of the Brilliance Villa incorporates a variety of materials to achieve its luxurious look. The public areas feature abundant use of stones, accompanied by titanium plated iron pieces and mirrors. This combination not only adds a touch of luxury to the overall visual sense but also creates a sense of spaciousness through the reflection of textures.

With an area of 364 square meters, the Brilliance Villa offers ample space for comfortable living. The design also pays attention to the smallest details, such as the choice of flooring. Instead of the standard white flooring provided by the builder, the house owner opted for Volakas marble, adding a unique and charming touch to the interior.

The Brilliance Villa project was completed in May 2019 in Taichung City, Taiwan. Throughout the design process, HSU FAN YU focused on creating a space that exudes a calm and luxurious atmosphere. The use of a steady color palette, combined with the contrast reflection of sunlight, brings a vivid and dynamic quality to the space.

One of the design challenges overcome in the Brilliance Villa was the construction of the walls using French windows. This unique feature directs the visual focus towards a specially designed waterfall wall outdoors, creating a natural landscape within the house. Additionally, the beams and columns were cleverly wrapped up to create hidden restrooms, maximizing the use of space.

The Brilliance Villa is a testament to HSU FAN YU's creative and technical skills. This design not only showcases the designer's ability to create visually stunning spaces but also demonstrates a deep understanding of how different materials and elements can be combined to create a luxurious and open atmosphere.

The Brilliance Villa was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
